What a day it has been! I have really enjoyed this day. :) I had lunch with a very dear friend and as usual I left feeling refreshed and encouraged. We even had the opportunity to walk around the square in Warren and do a little window shopping. Afterwards, I went to pick up Grace at preschool and got the honor of reading to her class. I really loved watching their little eyes light up as we entered into the story. We ended up reading several and I hope to get to do it again! I love kids! I used to think that I didn't like other people's kids, turns out that I don't like other kids' parents. lol Actually I am joking about not liking the parents well, kinda. I used to think I could never relate to children or understand why they do the things they do, I guess I just needed to have one of my own in order to learn to understand and appreciate kids. They are such little blessing! I love the way they are so innocent and curious about the world, and how they light up when they learn new things. They get so excited over the small simple things in life that we as adults take for granted.
Just this week I let Grace play in the sprinkler. She got SO excited when I told her she could that she jumped up and down squealing in excitement and started saying "kank you momma kank you!" over and over. Then to watch her play was just too much fun! She even managed to pull me in on it a little. :)
Then tonight as we were coming home from the church, it was foggy outside, but in the distance she could see a small light shining. She got all excited again and said "look momma look!" so I went to where she was standing in the yard and she got the sweetest expression on her face and said "look momma it is God's love shining down on us!" I didn't have the heart to tell her it was the neighbor's yard light. She is so sweet and I am so thankful for her! God has truly blessed me beyond measure!
